Statutory vs enhanced redundancy pay
Statutory redundancy pay is calculated under the legal formula for eligible employees. An employer may offer more under a contract, company policy or redundancy scheme.
Compare the offer with the statutory figure
Ask for the scheme wording and a written breakdown. Check whether the quoted amount already includes the statutory payment, which salary figure the employer used and whether notice pay and holiday pay are listed separately. Check any conditions before accepting.
